Seijra Toogood, M.Ed. CCC-SLP

Seijra Toogood M.Ed. CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist currently working for Arlington Public Schools.  She has experience as a clinical educator supervising graduate students at James Madison University.  She has provided Speech and Language services for 22 years which includes a wide variety of communication disorders (articulation, language, fluency, learning disabilities, autism, moderate/severe disabilities, apraxia, and genetic syndromes).

Seijra’s clinical interests include cultural and linguistically diverse populations, specifically bilingualism and bilingual assessments. Professional activities include Speech-Language Hearing Association of Virginia (SHAV) Past President and Council of State Association Presidents (CSAP) Secretary. She has served as the President and Vice President of the Fairfax County Speech Language Pathologist Association. Previously she participated in the Leadership Development Program (LDP) and has been an active LDP reviewer for two cycles.  She currently serves as the chair of the Government Affairs and Public Policy Board (GAPPB) and member of Grasstops Envoy.
